The idea of a handbell group began as a kernel of an idea. It was envisioned as a means of getting older and younger members of our congregation together musically. Thanks to the generosity of our church members, the Peachblossom Bells were founded in February 2003 and rang for the first time in March 2003. Since then the Bells, under the direction of Randy Bachand, ring monthly during Sunday services and attend a statewide handbell festival each February. We ring three octaves of Malmark handbells and chimes and our musical style varies from contemporary to jazz to classical. Anyone wishing to sit in on a rehearsal is welcome to join us on Tuesday nights at 7:00 on the Fellowship Hall stage. |
